This review is for the thumbstick hiking stick, an excellent product for use when walking in any environment. The "Y" shape at the top of the stick is to grip and place one's thumb, the higher than normal walking stick encourages one to walk with a more upright and positive posture, and gives considerable confidence with balance. The stick is very well made and varnished to an attractive and natural appearance. The order was fulfilled very quickly and the stick was delivered in safe and full size packaging.

My wife has been using this stick for about a week now, usually on a 2 hour dog walk. Does the job brilliantly on very uneven terrain and thick boggy mud. Light, but very strong.

The Hazel Thumb stick is just as I expected from the description on the website. I walk most days and usually on my own so I find the thumb stick helpful on rough ground or up/down hills. It is my 'companion'

This is my first hiking stick and I'm amazed it look so long for me to realise how useful it was.

Having previously used hiking poles for treks in Snowdonia and the Himalayas, it's a refreshing change to have a very solid and dependable stick rather than thin bits of metal.

The hazel stick I received was very well finished and is a joy to use.

I haven't figured out how to remove the rubber ferrule cover to reveal the spike, but I'm sure there's something I'm doing wrong.
