Scorched Chestnut Crook Handle Walking Stick

The shepherd's crook is a must-have accessory for countryside ramblers and hikers. A versatile tool, it is still used in traditional sheep farming today, but also makes for a great general walking aid for rustic environments.

The Scorched Chestnut Crook Handle Walking Stick is an authentic shepherd's crook which is handmade using traditional coppicing techniques. Available in a range of lengths, it is equally suited to use as a decorative or a working item.

Handmade Heritage

This rustic chestnut crook is not just made, it is grown! The ancient technique of coppicing involves cutting back the source trees about a metre back from the ground, stimulating the growth of new shoots which grow to an appropriate diameter for a walking stick.

Rustic Appearance

This stick is made from lightweight yet strong chestnut wood which is flame-scorched to bring out the grain and then polished for a unique finish. The signature curvature of its crook handle is both attractive and practical, allowing the stick to be hooked around the arm when not in use. Fantastic for country jaunts, the Scorched Chestnut Crook Handle Walking Stick completes any outdoorsman's outfit.

Rubber Ferrule

This walking stick is supplied with a rubber ferrule as standard. Ideal for firmer ground, this style of ferrule absorbs shock and helps to reduce fatigue in the hand.

Can I replace the Ferrule?

Yes, if your rubber ferrule becomes worn, you can remove the fitted ferrule and replace it with a new one. As this is a natural product, we recommend measuring the end of your stick to determine which size is right for your stick. UK delivery is FREE for orders of £40 and over. For orders below this threshold, delivery will cost a flat fee of £4.95 (including VAT).

We use the Royal Mail postal service - as well as other trusted couriers - to deliver our items. This means you'll receive your order as quickly as possible by a trusted delivery provider. We deliver within the UK only. Unfortunately, due to restrictions with our couriers, we are unable to ship items outside of the UK. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

When will my order be dispatched?

The Scorched Chestnut Crook Handle Walking Stick is usually delivered within 24 hours by a courier service. For orders placed before 2:00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), your order will be dispatched the same day. All other orders will be dispatched the following working day.

We want you to be happy every time you shop with us, but sometimes a product might not be what you were expecting or just isn't right. You may wish to return your product for an exchange or a refund. That's no problem at all, but first we need to give you a returns authorisation number. This helps us process your return as quickly as possible. This is the first time I have bought a walking stick. I chose a modestly priced one because it had to be shorter than most. It arrived quickly, and the size was just right. For those reasons I went on to buy a much more expensive stick based on the service I had received. The new stick also arrived quickly and was also the exact size - as well as being a lovely polished wood. I will be buying again from this web site.

Thank you for providing my wife the means to catch up with me faster. This has been advantageous for her to keep me under control, and the stick is robust enough to handle the rigours of the day without bending or breaking so far.
