Flexyfoot Shock Absorbing Crutch Ferrule
Crutches are an important aid for many individuals with impaired mobility, however they can sometimes cause problems of their own, including upper body discomfort. Designed to absorb the impact force of the crutch hitting the ground and prevent resultant stress on the body, the Flexyfoot Shock Absorbing Crutch Ferrule is a fantastic solution to such issues, and is suitable for use with most conventional crutches.

How Does the Flexyfoot Ferrule Absorb Shock?
Most ferrules (the base on the bottom of sticks and other walking aids) do not absorb the shock generated by the walking aid when it hits the ground, and the resultant force can then travel up the body and cause discomfort. The Flexyfoot Ferrule is unique in this respect, as it features flexible bellows that absorb impact force, helping to relieve strain on the body.
How Much Grip Does the Flexyfoot Ferrule Provide?
Due to the flexible bellows of the Flexyfoot Ferrule, the bottom of the cap remains in contact with the ground at all times, providing double the grip of standard rubber ferrules. As a result, it can be used to walk over many different types of terrain, offering you greater freedom of movement.
Adds 5cm of Height to Your Walking Stick
The Flexyfoot ferrule uses a flexible hinge to absorb shock and improve stability, but it also adds 5cm (2 inches) of height to your walking stick. So for the best fit, your stick might have to be shorter than it would be with a standard ferrule. If your walking stick is adjustable this won't be an issue, but for wooden sticks, you may have to saw some off - see this handy guide for more detailed instructions.
What Colours Are Available?
The Flexyfoot Crutch Ferrule is available in either a classic grey or sleek black colour. To choose your preference, use the dropdown box at the top of the page.
