Drive Medical Left-Handed Short Anatomic Adjustable Walking Stick

Suffering from a hand condition like arthritis or rheumatism comes with a range of issues, particularly if you also suffer from limited mobility and you need to use a mobility aid. When this is the case, using a traditional handle like the crook or the Derby will often cause pain and discomfort in your hands. The Drive Medical Left-Handed Short Anatomic Adjustable Walking Stick has been made specifically for the left hand so you get a more anatomical fit.

If you would prefer this walking stick for the right hand, the Drive Medical Right-Handed Short Anatomic Adjustable Walking Stick is available to purchase. These two sticks can also be used together if you require extra support.

Includes a Wrist Strap

Walking sticks fall on the ground all too often and the rate at which they fall only increases when you suffer from a hand condition. The Short Anatomic Walking Stick includes a wrist strap. When the strap is wrapped around your wrist, it prevents the stick from falling on the ground even if you lose your grip on the handle.

Fits in Your Pocket

The Left-Handed Anatomic Walking Stick folds so compactly that it can be stored in most bags, pockets or pouches. If you don't use your mobility aid all the time, or you find that holding your stick in your hand causes pain and discomfort, this is the perfect solution for you.

Sturdy Support

Drive Medical's Short Adjustable Mobility Aid has been made with an aluminium shaft, which provides you with strong and sturdy support. The stick is also extremely light as a result of its material, making it particularly suited to those with hand conditions who find it difficult to grasp heavy objects. The shaft is fitted with a durable, non-slip rubber ferrule at its end for improved stability on various surfaces.

VAT Relief

What is VAT relief?

Certain items on our site are available zero rated and therefore free from VAT (Value Added Tax) at the current rate of 20%. The product description will normally state whether the product is available free from VAT, but if you'd like to check its availability, please contact our team on 020 7501 0591 who'll be happy to help.

Claiming VAT relief - at checkout

If you're eligible for VAT relief (see below for more details), you can claim VAT relief quickly and easily while placing your order on our website. To do this, please follow the steps outlined below.

1) Select your item(s)

To start, simply add whichever products you'd like to your shopping basket. Please note, not every product is eligible for VAT relief.

2) Select VAT relief from the basket

Once you're happy you have everything you need, you can proceed to the shopping basket. Here, underneath each product that is eligible for VAT relief, you will find a checkbox that you must select to claim VAT relief (please see the screenshot of the shopping basket below). Once this box has been ticked, the VAT will automatically be removed from this item.

Please note, if you're buying multiple items you'll need to tick EACH checkbox for each item. If a product does not have a checkbox, it's currently not eligible for VAT relief.

3) Complete our VAT relief Form during checkout

Once you've selected your items and confirmed that you would like VAT relief, you can continue to the checkout. After entering your personal and delivery details, you will then be directed to a page featuring a form to complete in order to claim VAT relief. Once this form is completed, simply continue to the payment page and place your order.

Please note, this process may differ slightly if checking out via PayPal.

Please take care when completing the VAT form, as errors or missed fields can delay the processing of your order.

Claiming VAT relief - after placing your order

If you've placed an order without claiming VAT relief during the checkout process, you're still able to make the claim afterwards. To do this, please fill in the VAT exemption form found here.

Who can claim relief from VAT?

If you're disabled or have a chronic medical condition, you're eligible to claim relief from VAT. There's no need to register with HM Revenue and Customs. Simply fill in the VAT relief form and send it to us.

Returns Information

We hope you're delighted with your order from WalkingSticks.co.uk, but we understand that sometimes there may be a reason why you'd like to return an item to us. We aim to make this returns process as simple as possible.

30 days returns policy for peace of mind

Most products on the website have a 30 days returns policy. This means that you have 30 days from the day you receive your order to inform us if you'd like to return an item that's unsuitable.

Before returning any item, please contact our team by email at helpdesk@walkingsticks.co.uk or by telephone on 020 7501 0591. We'll then provide you with a returns authorisation number and full details of how and where to return your item(s). This returns number helps us process your return as quickly as possible. Items returned without a returns number may take longer to process.

Unwanted or unsuitable item exchanges and refunds

We want you to be happy every time you shop with us, but sometimes a product might not be what you were expecting or just isn't right. You may wish to return your product for an exchange or a refund. That's no problem at all, but first we need to give you a returns authorisation number. This helps us process your return as quickly as possible. Without this number, it may be more difficult to process your return.

You can obtain your returns authorisation number and returns address from our team by calling us. Tell us whether you'd like to exchange your product for an alternative, or if you'd like a full refund. You can contact our team in the following ways:

  • Call us on 020 7501 0591
  • Email us at helpdesk@walkingsticks.co.uk
  • Write to us at Walking Sticks, Unit 6, Union Court, Union Road, London, SW4 6JP
  • Fill in a cancellation form (please see our Terms & Conditions to download the form)
