The Chestnut Hiker Stick with Spiked Ferrule is a chestnut wood walking stick ideal for hikers. It includes a brown leather strap for ease of gripping, and a spiked ferrule to improve stability when on uneven terrain.

Chestnut Wood Stick

The hiker stick has been constructed from chestnut. This hardwood provides a robust and reliable hiking stick, while also providing a natural rustic appearance. With a height of 51" (130cm), it will be suitable for most individuals.

The wooden construction and appearance will blend in well when you're out and about. Whether spending the day hiking up a hill or the weekend trekking through the forest, the hiker stick will make a visually appealing and highly practical companion.

Spiked Ferrule

The Chestnut Hiker Stick features a spiked ferrule at the base of the wood. This ferrule helps to provide stability when walking, as it can be pushed into soft terrain to provide support when on uneven ground. This will be particularly useful for when hiking up a hill, providing the individual with a little extra support to maintain balance.

Leather Wrist Strap

A brown leather wrist strap is included with the hiker stick. This can be slipped over the user's wrist to help with gripping onto the stick. It will also be useful when hiking, as it means that the stick can be kept by the wrist without needing to place it on the ground when both hands are required; this eliminates the need to place the stick on the ground, thus reducing the risk of it rolling away back down the hill.

Harvested from Sustainable Forests

As the typical hiker enjoys nature and the natural surroundings, it is important that this stick has been constructed from woods harvested from sustainable forests. This way, hiking can continue to be enjoyed in and around the forest while reaping the benefits of the wood, all with the knowledge that your hiker stick has been created with sustainable forestry.

Can I Replace the Ferrule?

Yes, if your rubber ferrule becomes worn, you can remove the fitted ferrule and replace it with a new one. As this is a natural product, we recommend measuring the end of your stick to determine which size is right for your stick. UK delivery is FREE for orders of £40 and over. For orders below this threshold, delivery will cost a flat fee of £4.95 (including VAT).

We use the Royal Mail postal service - as well as other trusted couriers - to deliver our items. This means you'll receive your order as quickly as possible by a trusted delivery provider. We deliver within the UK only. Unfortunately, due to restrictions with our couriers, we are unable to ship items outside of the UK. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

When will my order be dispatched?

We're focused on ensuring you receive your item as quickly as possible and the majority of orders placed before 2:00pm (excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays) are dispatched the same day by Royal Mail post or courier.

If you'd like up-to-the-minute delivery information about your order and delivery expectation, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you as much as we can. The team are available between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays and Christmas).

Returns Information

30 days returns policy for peace of mind

Most products on the website have a 30 days returns policy. This means that you have 30 days from the day you receive your order to inform us if you'd like to return an item that's unsuitable.

Before returning any item, please contact our team by email at helpdesk@walkingsticks.co.uk or by telephone on 020 7501 0591. We'll then provide you with a returns authorisation number and full details of how and where to return your item(s). This returns number helps us process your return as quickly as possible. Items returned without a returns number may take longer to process.

Unwanted or unsuitable item exchanges and refunds

We want you to be happy every time you shop with us, but sometimes a product might not be what you were expecting or just isn't right. You may wish to return your product for an exchange or a refund. That's no problem at all, but first we need to give you a returns authorisation number. This helps us process your return as quickly as possible. Without this number, it may be more difficult to process your return.

Replacing a long loved liking pole.

My 20 year old, several thousand mile hiking pole, bought in the Black Forest, recently snapped in a walking accident. I had little hope of finding anything similar online. My new pole with the thong from the old one is both beautiful and just right in the hand. I am hoping for another 20 years or more from it.
