Square Aperture Rubber Ferrule
Owning one of the seat sticks listed below is excellent for use in the country, particularly if you enjoy hikes or shoots. However, visiting town with the stick and using it on hard surfaces would damage the metal spike and wouldn't offer you firm support. The Square Aperture Rubber Ferrule is a special tip with a square aperture to fit on the square point of your seat stick so you can use the support in both town and country.
Please note that this ferrule is meant only to be used when walking with the seat stick, and the seat stick is designed for sitting only on soft surfaces. On harder surface, the spike cannot dig in and the plate cannot be used for stabilisation, leading to an unstable sitting experience. Users must be aware that if they then sit on the seat stick, this increases the pressure placed on the ferrule from the spike of the stick, which can reduce the ferrule's lifespan accordingly.
How Large is the Ferrule?
This Shooting Stick Rubber Ferrule is supplied as one size - 12mm which stretches to 15mm. These measurements represent the width of the ferrule opening, as seen in the image below.
What Shooting Sticks is this Ferrule Compatible With?
This rubber ferrule is designed to fit onto the end of the following shooting sticks:
What Are the Key Features of the Type G Ferrule?
- Shock-Absorbing: Will reduce the shock to your arm and hand when using metal spike-tipped sticks
- Durability: Will increase the longevity of your walking stick
- Safety: Drastically reduces the chances of slipping or skidding
How Do You Put the Rubber Ferrule On?
The rubber ferrule is really easy to apply to seat/shooting sticks. It slides on simply as seen in the GIF below.
Protects the Metal Spike
This Square Rubber Ferrule has been designed with a square aperture that fits over the metal spike of the seat stick. This ensures it remains undamaged when it hits the hard ground, as seen in the GIF below.

30 days returns policy for peace of mind
Most products on the website have a 30 days returns policy. This means that you have 30 days from the day you receive your order to inform us if you'd like to return an item that's unsuitable.
Before returning any item, please contact our team by email at helpdesk@walkingsticks.co.uk or by telephone on 020 7501 0591. We'll then provide you with a returns authorisation number and full details of how and where to return your item(s). This returns number helps us process your return as quickly as possible. Items returned without a returns number may take longer to process.
